The goal of the project was to set up mushrooms to grow. we feel that we reached our goal and now we are just waiting for them to begin growing. The reason we believe that we achieved our goal is because we accomplished everything we set out to make this project work, even if we were slightly lazy with the blog, but you don't need a blog to grow mushrooms. we learned about different mushrooms and what type of factors make them grow. The limitations of our project was getting a mushrooms that grows quickly. That is why we chose the chicken of the wood mushroom. But this inturn gave us another limitation because they grow on hardwood trees and stumps. If we were to start over the things that we would do differently would be. We would start sooner, and instead of using hardwood sawdust to grow the mushrooms in we would drill holes in a hardwood log and insert the plugs into that. Also we wouldn't do a blog. A related question that me and my partner have is why did we have to write a blog for our final, if this was for a community garden we would understand. But its not its just two dudes who wanted to grow mushrooms out of a bucket in a greenhouse.

How to set up mushrooms to grow.
The materials needed for this project will be the chicken of the wood mushroom spore hardwood plugs. And we will also need some hardwood shavings and a 5 gal bucket. To do the project. First drill holes around the bottom 6 inches of the bucket, slightly larger than the hardwood plugs. Next pour in yojur hardwood sawdust. Dampen all of it before you put it in the bucket. next insert the inoculated hardwood plugs into the holes drilled into the bucket. Next put the bucket in a dark, warm place, Makesure to check on it regularly with more water to keep it from drying-out.
